Bawaajigekwe Andrea DeBungie named 2020 Special Services Teacher of the Year

In a surprise ceremony on May 6, Bawaajigekwe Andrea DeBungie of Washburn, a special education teacher at Ashland Middle and Lake Superior Elementary schools in the Ashland Public School District, was named Wisconsin's 2020 Special Services Teacher of the Year by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Ms. DeBungie will receive a $3,000 grant from the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation in recognition of her accomplishment. For details, click on Press Releases.
